ASOS PONCHO // H&M SCARF // ASOS FAUX LEATHER LEGGINGS // BANANA REPUBLIC “FLUFF” // BANANA REPUBLIC HEELS
It’s officially December and I’m so excited for the holidays for so many reasons–one of them being festive outfits! The weather is beyond strange this year. It’s not even that cold in the Boston area yet (it was 50 degree yesterday.. like what?) I’m not complaining though because I don’t know how I will shoot looks for the blog once the temperature drops because I’m the biggest baby about the cold!!
That brings me to the main point of this blog post: comfort. Comfort is key in the winter because you’re busy dealing with the cold and that’s traumatic enough. You don’t have time to deal with things like tight fitting jeans and tops.
Letting you in on the secret to looking put together but staying cozy all winter long: ponchos, capes, blanket scarves, and jeggings.
In the winter, I love wearing super oversized sweaters like this poncho on top. If you’re going to pull of this look, try wearing something more feminine and tight fitting (but still comfortable!) on the bottom. These faux leather leggings and patent leather heels balance out the look and make this look a bit more wearable for nicer occasions.
PS. Can I just acknowledge that all of my friends were making fun of these “fluff” things I always have hanging off of my handbags a few months ago, and now I found them at BANANA REPUBLIC?! Like that’s mainstream stuff. Someone must be buying them, right? So, there (you know who you are….) Haha.
