As many of you know, I live in Boston – but there’s nothing wrong with a little staycation, right? When I heard my friends were coming into town to visit, I figured we might as well make a weekend out of it. Think about it: My tiny South Boston apartment. Three bloggers. One bathroom. I’m sure you can imagine the fight for mirror space…
When we started looking into hotels, my first reaction was to suggest the Fairmont Copley Plaza. I’m always shooting in there for one reason or another, so I feel a special connection to the hotel (it’s where I had my GILT photoshoot, too!). There’s also a dog named Carly that lives there, and she’s always outside with the doormen. She’s the sweetest pup and loves greeting all of the guests, so whenever I’m around Copley I’ll swing by to see her. If that isn’t #HotelGoals i don’t know what is.
When we got to our room, they had a plate of donuts (leopard print donuts, I might add) ready for us. They also had personalized Le Labo gift sets out for each of us – which i literally FREAKED out over. Le Labo products are incredibly expensive but my absolute favorite, so whenever I get to use them it’s a special treat. For all of you asking what perfume I use, it’s Le Labo Santal but I spray it sparingly because the bottles are almost $300. The bathrooms were also stocked with Le Labo too, which we all ended up fighting over haha!
I don’t have to say much about the decor of the hotel, because the photos speak for themselves. I am determined to get married here one day so I just need to hunt down my future Instagram husband. It’s located in the heart of Boston – right off of Boylston and Newbury. There’s huge ballrooms in the hotel that are often being rented out for parties, weddings, and other huge events so there’s an overall fun vibe to the hotel. Best part? The OAK Long Bar is located in the hotel and one of my favorite places to grab drinks on the weekends. If you guys would be interested in a longer blog post of all of my Boston recommendations (restaurants, shopping, and any must-sees), let me know!
And last but not least, I have to give a shout out to these girls! Corrine has been my best friend for over two years now. We met at work and ended up bonding over both being struggling bloggers at the time – and the rest is history. I had never met Kait, but she was one of my many “Instagram friends” – it’s a blogger thing. In real life, we instantly clicked and I felt like I had known her for years. After this trip, I know that she will be a lifelong friend. The many perks this job has given me (free clothes, hotel stays, etc.) will never compare to the friendships that I’ve formed from this app. It’s hard to find girls in the blogging community that are truly supportive, but I have found two – and I’m so grateful for both of them!
Thank you again to the Fairmont Copley, it was a girl’s trip to remember, and we will definitely be back!
